What are CS2 Skins?

Each weapon skin has a pattern index or seed (0-1000), which determines how the skin's pattern is positioned on the weapon.
StatTrak
Displays the number of kills made with that weapon.
Phases
They are particularly relevant for Doppler and Gamma Doppler skins, different phases have different colors.
Fade Percentage
The term "Fade percentage" (78-100%) refers to the extent or coverage of the fade pattern on a particular skin. A higher fade percentage generally means more coverage of the vibrant, colorful part of the gradient, which is often considered more valuable.

The price of a skin depends on various factors such as demand, rarity, condition, and market trends. Prices can fluctuate significantly based on these factors, making it important for traders and collectors to stay informed about market trends.

The Steam Community Market is the most straightforward and probably the safest platform for beginners, though it has downsides such as a 15% fee on every sale and a maximum price of $1800 for items sold. This cap can be quite limiting for players who want to sell skins worth much more than the $1800 maximum.
